Recently I upgraded my 5.1 speaker system to the Energy C-50 fronts and surrounds along with a CC-50 and a ESW-8 subwoofer. The C-50’s came through Amazon (Audio Advisors) for $70 a pair. I also found the center channel and subwoofer @ Worldwide Stereo for $79 and $99. This brought the total cost to $318 with free shipping.
Although happy with the price I am thrilled with the performance! I found the speakers did need a good 50 hour break in period to reach peak performance but once that milestone is met you are good to go.
I have been an Energy fan since the early 90’s and still have a great pair of Energy 3.1 speakers.
Although Energy is now owned by Klipsch, I have found that the quality of materials and related sound represent a compelling value and would complement most mid price ranged audio and home theater systems. Do yourself a favor and compare the workmanship and sound of these little giants before you fork over money on an overpriced cheaply constructed pair of speakers (i,e Bose).

These are very high quality. At under $80 for the pair, they will amaze you. They produce lows that are surprising given the 4.5″ driver. They look and sound fantastic, and beat any similarly priced offerings I have seen from Polk. Polk is the only similar brand I have to compare, and these sound better than my Polks that have larger 5.25″ drivers and cost twice as much. After purchasing a pair of these, I bought three pair of C-100’s elsewhere(on sale) to upgrade my home theater.

I have 4 Energy C-50’s and a Center C-C50 linked to a Harmon Kardon AVR-254 Receiver. The clarity and depth of these little speakers is just fantastic. I did a bunch of research on small speakers and found many hardened Audiophiles with a love for Energy Speakers recommeding them over much more expensive small units. Pretty impressive lows for tiny speakers, getting down to 65hz with no problems.
Forget Bose junk, save your money and grab these amazing little performers then match them up to a Harmon Kardon, Marantz or Pioneer amp for a killer economy system that will blow away any similarly priced ‘all-in-one’ systems.
